Returns & Refund Policy

At The Sage Mermaid, we want you to love your purchase. If something is not quite right, we are here to help.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement, repair or refund for a product that has a major fault, is not as described, is significantly different from the sample shown, or does not do what it is supposed to do.

If the issue is minor, we may choose to repair or replace the item within a reasonable time.

Change of Mind Returns

We do not offer refunds for change of mind.

We may offer a store credit or exchange for eligible items returned within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unworn, unused and unwashed
  • The item is in original condition with tags and hygiene liners attached
  • The item is free from makeup, fake tan, perfume, deodorant, marks, pet hair or damage
  • Proof of purchase is provided

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change of mind returns.

Swimwear Bottoms

For hygiene reasons, swimwear bottoms cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind, sizing issues or sale reasons.

This applies unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

Sale Items

All sale items are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund, exchange or store credit due to change of mind.

This includes promotional sales, clearance items, discounted products and rebranding sale items.

However, if a sale item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, you are still entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at thesagemermaidcollective@gmail.com.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the item

If approved, we will provide a replacement, store credit or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Return Process

To request a return, please contact us at thesagemermaidcollective@gmail.com before sending anything back.

Items sent back without approval may not be accepted.

Approved returns should be posted within 7 days of return approval.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method.

Please allow 3–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account depending on your bank or payment provider.
